Overview
In Australia, there are approximately 400, 000 children living in outer-regional, remote and very remote areas who do not have access to adequate education. These children lack the opportunity, not the capacity, for learning. The XO laptop is one way of addressing this issue. By providing communities with XO laptops and training, without incurring a cost to the child or their family, Australia can help create sustainable education. Globally, we have seen that almost everywhere the XO goes, engagement increases dramatically, as children are given a tool with which to unleash their inner potential.
